I-Tip Hair Extensions for Cold Links System

How many strands will I need?

It will usually take about an average of 100-150 I tipped strands for volume and length, and it will usually take about an average of 75 I tipped strands for volume.

For Very Thick and short Hair you many need a total of 200 Strands.

What Supplies Will I need?

You may use any Rings, Links of your choice:

   4. -Threader to thread the links onto
   5. -Plier tool for installation and removal
   6. -Scalp protectors

Will the I-tip Hair Extensions Damage my Hair?

No, this method will not damage the hair. If you take care of your hair properly.

1. Brush your hair often with a large loop or bristle brush so the roots don't tangle. When brushing down try to hold the roots so you don't pull on the extensions.
2. Don't let the extensions grow out more than 1 inch from your hair line. You may adjust the position by opening and moving the links higher to the desired position
3. When washing your hair, be gentle on your hair extensions and use good products.
4. I do not recommend going to the pool but if you do make sure you brush your hair and then braid it. DO NOT PUT HAIR IN A BUN! this is the worst you can do to your hair extensions when going in to a pool or any water activity.
5. Wash no more than 3 times per week
6. When going to bed, brush your hair and braid it. DO NOT GO TO SLEEP WITH WET HAIR.

Why are my extensions sliding out?

There are many reasons why they will slide out.

1. Not applying them correctly, when applying the links make sure you squeeze each side hard so no water can go in to the links
2. Hair was not washed with a clarifying shampoo, make sure you wash your hair clarifying shampoo prior to instalation
3. Using too much conditioner at your roots, Do not use conditioner on your roots this will make the links slide whe you brush
4. Brushing and pulling too hard when the hair is wet. If you feel like they are sliding when you brush on we hair, you will need to let your hair dry a little before you brush. When hair is wet it reduces it's volume and this may cause the links to slide
5. If you have oily hair you will need to wash your roots with a clarifying shampoo only at the roots and your scalp, rinse and then wash the hair with a sulfate free or any low sodium shampoo for hair extensions. DO NOT USE CLARIFYING SHAMPOO ON THE EXTENSIONS IT WILL DRY THEM OUT.

What should I do prior to installing my I-Tip Hair Extensions?

1. Prepare client's hair for installation by using a detoxifying or clarifying shampoo making sure no conditioner or any other product is used after rinsing.
2. Do not dry the hair completely, installing micro links is always better on towel dried hair.
3. Use scalp protectors, this will ensure even application when you are parting your hair, you don't want hair from other parts to go into the links, it will pull and break your hair.

Sectioning

1 -  To determine where the partings will start,  take a comb and place it at the top back of the head.  Where the comb leaves the head is where the parting will start.
2 -  Make a parting from that point to the top back of the ear.
3 -  Determine where you want your first track to go.The first row is usually from the back of the middle of the ear all the way across to the back of the middle of the ear.
4 -  There are many invariable in installing the strands.  If the hair is thin and shorter you may want to "pack them in" the first 2-3 rows; this describes installing the extensions right next to each other across the row and section the next row right above the previous row leaving no hair out of the extensions.
5 -  After establishing weight for the first 2-3 rows, you can now "brick row" the extensions; this described installing the extensions on every other piece of hair and on the next row above the row you've just installed you will install an extension above an strand there there is an empty space with no extension installed there.  The effect will be like a checker board; every other strand will be installed above every other but moved over by one space.
6 -  Continue up the head until you reach the top leaving enough hair at the top to cover the last row of extensions.

Now that you are finished with the back you can start work on the sides in front.
Make sure all the rows follow the curve of the head. 

You will install about 3- 4 rows of "packed in" extensions on the sides in front making sure you do not go all the way to the front hairline.
Start the first row in the front side just above the corner of the eye matching it up to the corner of a track coming from the back.

How long will the extensions last in my hair?

If installed properly they should last for about 3 months, I do not recommend leaving the hair extensions longer than 3 months. You can take them out and re apply them. The quality of the hair is excellent so you can re apply for 1 year.

Can I use the same links?

No, you will need to use new links every time you apply the hair extensions

Can I color my roots?

Yes, you can color your roots but make sure you don't color the hair extensions, this will dry them out. Especialy when bleaching your hair, make sure you only bleach your roots.

Can I apply the extensions on my own?

No, you will need a professional to apply the hair extensions. It is not recommended to apply any type of hair extensions on your own.

Can I color the hair extensions?

Yes, you can color the hair extensions with a demi permanent color, only use 10% peroxide when coloring the hair extensions, make sure you don't leave the color for too long it, follow basic color technics like you would with your natural hair

Can I bleach the hair extensions?

No, it is not recommended to bleach the hair extensions, this may damage them and dry them out.

3. Large hair clips

Will the Fusion Keratin Hair Extensions Damage my Hair?

No, this method will not damage the hair. If you take care of your hair properly.

1. Brush your hair often with a large loop or bristle brush so the roots don't tangle. When brushing down try to hold the roots so you don't pull on the extensions.
2. Don't let the extensions grow out more than 1-2 inch from your hair line.
3. When washing your hair, be gentle on your hair extensions and use good products.

3. Using too much conditioner at your roots, Do not use conditioner on your roots this will make the links slide whe you brush
4. Brushing and pulling too hard when the hair is wet. If you feel like they are sliding when you brush on we hair, you will need to let your hair dry a little before you brush. When hair is wet it reduces it's volume and this may cause the fusion bonds to slide
5. If you have oily hair you will need to wash your roots with a clarifying shampoo only at the roots and your scalp, rinse and then wash the hair with a sulfate free or any low sodium shampoo for hair extensions. DO NOT USE CLARIFYING SHAMPOO ON THE EXTENSIONS IT WILL DRY THEM OUT.
6. Do not use heat directly on to the bonds (blow dryer or flat iron), this will melt the bond and make the hair slide

Why are my hair tangling at my roots?

1. The extensions may be too far away from the roots, make sure you apply the extensions closer to the roots
2. The extensions may have been left on for too long and your natural hair is growing out, it is time to remove and re apply the hair extensions
3. Not brushing properly or often enough, make sure you brush the roots with a large loop brush so the roots don't tangle
4. Brush often
5. Going to bed with wet hair is a NO.  Make sure you dry, brush and braid the hair before you go in to bed.

Can I color my roots?

Yes, you can color your roots but make sure you don't color the hair extensions, this will dry them out. Especially when bleaching your hair, make sure you only bleach your roots. Our Keratin bonds are excellent quality so they will not become sticky after you color your hair.

Can I apply the extensions on my own?

No, you will need a professional to apply the hair extensions. It is not recommended to apply any type of hair extensions on your own.
